Footwork and dribbling program

Dribbling is the most exciting aspect of the game. To create an exceptional dribbler, it is necessary to develop competent footwork. The end result is an unpredictable player who can create space, which is necessary to penetrate a congested defending third.

Precision Soccer Academy has an intensive footwork and dribbling program that produces these abilities.

The first phase of the program consists of learning 97 different types of dribbling without opposition, using both the right and left foot.

The second phase of the program progresses to using the dribbling methods learned in different situations with opposition—for example, 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, etc.

The third phase of the program concentrates on attitude. Players are taught where to dribble, why to dribble, when to dribble, and in which part of the field dribbling is minimised and maximised. The player is also encouraged to dribble when they have no support, assuming the risk.

The entire program is built upon Synergy coaching methods, which make players capable of selecting the correct type of dribbling skill in the correct situation and correct part of the field.

This is accomplished through the integration of the mind into the coaching of all aspects of dribbling.
